UPDATE 18: Another Lap

Well, the word is that my “promising job opportunity” is kind of in limbo until the end of February. The hiring manger is “taking a break” (from hiring, I guess). I was told that I would get an interview, if I I’m still looking then…

Soooooooo, I’m back at the proverbial drawing board, no temp job (second week), and scouring all the job postings I can find for a new lead. Oh, and I have the opportunity to delve deeper into the regions of how much I really do or don’t trust God to provide. (Didn’t we just leave this party? But wait, there’s more!)

Father reminded me this morning of Deuteronomy 8:18

But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today…

And also Philippians 4:11-13

…for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Funny how we always tend to pull verse 13 out and apply it to anything and everything. While that’s not necessarily bad (God will give us strength), the context here is that whether I have plenty, or things are pretty slim (like now), I can be content and do just fine.

Thanks for the reminders, Father! I will keep trusting and following, because you have called us here!
